My studio sits in a meadow surrounded by thick woodlands.  There are ghosts there – of primitive inhabitants, fossils, bones and dinosaur tracks embedded in 100 million year-old limestone.  Earthly echoes from the passage of time.

Immersed in the rhythm of nature, I seek to capture its spirit.  Using space, line, movement and color, I create a frame of reference which transforms my personal experience into something significant beyond my own identity. Nature’s savage beauty, the gentle flow of clouds, trees, wildlife and horses – all inhabit my canvases as symbols of a living, breathing ecosystem.

Art is life – shaped  by the hands that create it and the eyes that behold it. My paintings seek to awaken forgotten feelings stirred by primitive sense memories – like hieroglyphics on cave walls.  I am that cave dweller, seeking to find meaning in the world around me.
