[Glen Rose, Texas] – Artist Mel Auberty has spent decades shaping a distinct visual language that merges nature’s raw power with human emotion. Her work is recognized for its bold, expressionistic blue horses and evocative figurative compositions. Auberty continues to captivate audiences with her ability to translate memory, movement, and landscape into deeply resonant works of art.

A Vision Rooted in Nature, History, and the Human Form

“My paintings seek to awaken forgotten feelings stirred by primitive sense memories—like hieroglyphics on cave walls,” says Auberty. “I am that cave dweller, seeking to find meaning in the world around me.”

From her studio, surrounded by woodlands and ancient limestone formations, Auberty channels the rhythms of nature into her work. Yet, while her environment informs her creative process, her career has been anything but secluded. With her paintings featured in galleries across the country and housed in private and corporate collections spanning industries from finance to healthcare and sports.
